Terms of carriage
Last updated 6 October 2026
These terms apply when you send a shipment with Halyard Logistics Limited. By booking a shipment you agree to them, together with any written quote we give you.
Your responsibilities
- Describe the contents and value of each shipment accurately.
- Pack goods so they can withstand normal handling in transit.
- Provide complete export documents for international shipments.
- Do not send items that are illegal to carry, or that we list as prohibited when you book.
Inspection
We may open and inspect a shipment where the law requires it or where we have reason to believe it contains prohibited items.
Delivery times
Delivery dates we give are estimates. We work to meet them, but delays can happen because of weather, road conditions, customs checks, or events outside our control.
Loss and damage
If a shipment is lost or damaged while in our care, our liability is limited to the declared value or the limit set out in your quote, whichever is lower, unless you have bought additional cover. Report damage within 48 hours of delivery, keeping the packaging for inspection.
Charges
You pay the price agreed in your quote. Extra charges apply only where the shipment differs from what was booked, such as a higher weight, and we will tell you before applying them.
